Share Files Between Devices

Send files directly between devices using a room code. No app, no login, no cloud upload. Files transfer peer-to-peer.

Files are sent directly between devices (peer-to-peer). Nothing is uploaded to any server. Max 10MB.

How to share files between devices without an app

Select a file, get a 6-character code, share it with the other device. The file transfers directly between browsers — peer-to-peer. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

How it works

  1. Sender selects a file and clicks "Start sending"
  2. A 6-character room code is generated
  3. Receiver enters the code and clicks "Join & receive"
  4. Devices connect directly via WebRTC (peer-to-peer)
  5. File transfers directly between browsers — no server in between
  6. Receiver downloads the file

What you can share

  • PDF documents
  • Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP)
  • Text files and code snippets
  • Small videos
  • Any file up to 10MB

Privacy & security

  • Files are never uploaded to any server
  • Transfer is direct (peer-to-peer) between your devices
  • Room codes are one-time use
  • Connection encrypted via DTLS (WebRTC standard)
  • Nothing stored after transfer completes

For text-only sharing, use our clipboard sync tool which supports real-time text sync with room codes.
